In third round of the 2026 BMW Championship, Wyndham Clark followed up a pair of 64s with a 5-under 65 to get to 17-under after 54 holes, taking a five-shot lead into Sunday. The BMW Championship, the second leg of the FedExCup Playoffs, heads to Bellerive Country Club near St. Louis, MO this week, hosting golf's top 50 for the first time since 2008. Scottie Scheffler enters as defending champion and the hottest player in the field, having just won the FedEx St. Jude Championship by eight shots to build a nearly 1,400-point lead atop the FedExCup standings. He'll try to become the first repeat BMW champion since Patrick Cantlay in 2021-22. Rory McIlroy looks to bounce back after a rough finish in Memphis, while Justin Rose, Rickie Fowler, and others are jockeying for position near the cut lines that determine who advances to the season-ending Tour Championship. Bellerive, a long Robert Trent Jones design that also hosted the 2018 PGA Championship, is expected to test the field with its tough closing stretch known as "The Ridge." Only the top 30 in points after this event will move on to East Lake for the FedExCup finale.
