Some days he could time it well, but when his timing was off, the slice quickly returned. During this live golf lesson, we discovered that Ray’s backswing had become too long and his arms too narrow. Although this could help him create speed, it also made the club face much harder to square consistently. We worked on creating more width with his arms, particularly through his trail arm, using an exaggerated pause drill that Ray described as the “torture drill.” The feeling was extreme, but the results revealed just how different his perception was from reality. Ray was initially concerned that a shorter backswing would cost him distance. Instead, better control of the club face helped him hit drives that were straighter, more consistent and ultimately longer. If your driver keeps slicing or missing right despite your best efforts, the length and width of your backswing could be playing a much bigger role than you realise. 🏫 To Attend our Exclusive, in-person, 2 Day Golf Schools at The Grand click here 👉https://meandmygolf.com/golf-schools/?utm_source=YouTube&utm_medium=Description&utm_campaign=01.10.26 ⛳️ Check out our range of Training Aid products here 🏌️‍♂️👉https://bit.ly/48xyx0z 📱 Get $500 off the Full Swing KIT Launch Monitor when you use code: MEANDMYGOLFKIT 👉https://www.fullswinggolf.com/mmg-landing-page/ ⛳️ Come visit our “Home Club” 👉 https://www.fairmont.com/san-diego/golf/the-grand-golf-club/
