One of the most recognizable holes in all of golf, the par-5 sixth at Pebble Beach now has its final piece of a multi-faceted restoration complete. Two years ago, the green was recontoured to its original size and design intent, including recapturing a dynamic front-left hole location that had been lost over time. Last year, the championship tee was moved back 21 yards. And earlier this summer, the fairway bunkers left of the drive zone were restored to the original design of one singular, shallower bunker with four grass islands, positioned 10 yards tighter to the cliff. Together, these changes are intended to restore the risk / reward nature Neville and Grant envisioned when routing this iconic par 5.
