How to Shallow the Golf Club Like the Pros Trying to shallow the golf club in your downswing? Don’t make the mistake of trying to force the club shallow with your hands. 👀⛳️ A better place to start is your backswing position. If your hands and arms don’t have enough room at the top, it becomes much harder for the club to reroute and work from the inside during the downswing. Instead, look at: → Getting enough rotation in the backswing → Allowing your hands to work deeper → Creating space with your arm and elbow position → Giving the club room to shallow naturally in transition The goal isn’t to manufacture a shallow golf swing. It’s to build a backswing and golf swing sequence that gives the club somewhere to go. More room going back = a much better opportunity to approach the golf ball from the inside coming down. And remember: getting the club shallow is only useful if you can turn that delivery into better contact. Working on shallowing your golf swing?
